LDA launch LDA Avenue-l Housing Scheme exclusively for Government Servants of all Grades and invited applications from all over Pakistan in the year 2002.It was widely advertised through media and plots of 1-Kanal and 10-Marlas were allotted to all applicants through an open balloting. Initially provisional price of 1-Kanal plot was fixed as Rs.5,40,000/- and Rs. 2,70,000/ for 10-Marlas. Allotment letters were issued to allottees. The cost of plots was enhanced due to increase in development cost. An additional Rs.3,24,000/- were demanded from the allottees of one Kanal plot and Rs. 1,62,000/- for ten Marla plot. The enhanced amount was to be deposited in six equal installments.

LDA Avenue-I was Launched in 2002 with an area of 16000 kanal (approx.).
Total plots carved out as per old scheme plan = 12007.
Total plots carved out as per revised scheme plan = 13461.
Total plots allotted = 10984 (4907 of 1-kanal and 6077 of 10-marla.
Plots in auction pool (LDA share) = 2469 (1396 of 1-kanal and 1073 of 10-marla).
Total possessionable plots whose possession can be handed over = 9486.
Possession handed over = 4793 owners.
Due to litigation, 3215 allotees were unable to get the possession. Thereafter, the scheme plan was revised and additional plots were carved out to cater the grievances of the affectees.
First balloting to exchange the plots of affectees was held on 24-01-2015 and 321 affectees were accommodated by exchanging their plots.
Second balloting to exchange the plots of affectees was held on 04-03-2015 and 1278 affectees were accommodated by exchanging their plots.
Total affectees who are still need to be accommodated by exchanging/re-allocating their plots are 1616.
