Makkah City Phase I & II Ghulam Sarwar Sahi Road Malkhanwala Faisalabad. Makkah City is located on Ghulam Sarwar Sahi Road which leads to the Main Satiana Road while crossing Tech Town (TNT Colony Gate). Makkah City covers an area of 1 ½ murrabba with 2 ½ and 5 marla category of the residential plots. It was launched in 2005-06. There is a 60 feet wide main road and 4 bazars in Makkah City. The link roads are 40 & 25 feet wide.

Electricity and street lights are available in Makkah City. Almost 80 % of the Makkah City has now become residential and only 20 % area is left with the plots. Makkah City has got the boundary wall that makes it safe and secure. There is one park on 2 kanal area. The drinking water is supplied via WASA vehicle free of cost twice in a day. The green belt is there on the main road only. The underground water is used for the daily routine work in homes. The sui gas line has been installed but it is expected to become operational within next 3 – 4 months.

There are 3 – 4 entrances of Makkah City and all of them leads to the main road. The fresh air environment is the major advantage as compared to the other densly populated societies of Satiana Road like Younis town, Elahi Abad, Hilal Road, Mian Colony and Rabbani Colony. Most of the community living in the Makkah City comprises of the middle class people. An Extension block of the Makkah City comprises of 12 acres of land with 221 # of plots and 44 active residents. The extension of Makkah City consists of 5, 7 and 10 marla residential plots.

Issues & Short Comings

Makkah City is not registered with either FDA or TMA Faisalabad. Previously the boundary wall was there but now it has been removed by the Government authorities as water passage fee was not paid by the developer. There has also been conspiracies with WAPDA as the residents complain that the demand notices for installing the new meters were more than the actual received by the general public in other societies. The absence of the graveyard and a proper public park is also a weak point of this housing society.

The per marla rate of 1 kanal residential plot in 2015 was 170,000. Currently the per marla rate is Rs 350,000. The price of a 5 marla single storey house in Makkah City is Rs 25 lac while the double storey newly / old constructed house is available @ Rs 30 – 40 lac (varies according to the location).
